教务长支柱奖:

应用奖学金及研究

阿连特国际大学的应用奖学金和研究奖旨在表彰对获奖者学科中的应用问题做出重大贡献的富有成效的奖学金.  作品应该是最近的，应该是由Alliant社区的成员(学生)制作的, 工作人员, 或核心教员).  提名作品应体现Alliant使命的核心奖学金类型:

• 在Alliant的背景下，学术包括发现新知识;
• 发现知识的新应用来解决实际问题;
• the integration of knowledge in new ways; and innovation in teaching
• 知识和专业能力.

个人有一个单一的学术工作或一系列的产品可能被提名为该奖项.  要符合资格，作品应在最近五年内出现.  被提名人必须在作品的制作中发挥了至关重要的领导作用.g., 是任何书面作品的第一或第二作者), 并在提名材料中明确被提名人对工作的贡献.

Nominations for all types of scholarly products are welcome; the target audience of the scholarship may be other academics, 学生, 从业人员, 或者公众.   只有以专业学科为基础的奖学金才有资格.  Examples of eligible work include but are not limited to books and book chapters; journal, 杂志, or newspaper articles; “white papers” prepared for professional organizations; websites or other electronic information; textbooks; videos or other media related to one’s area of expertise; and creative works that are based on one’s disciplinary knowledge.  接受自我提名.

公告:2014年4月1日当周

提名将根据a)奖学金与Alliant使命的契合程度进行评估, 柱子, and core values; b) the relevance of the work to practical problems, 社会问题, or other applied issues; c) evidence that the work has made a significant and meaningful impact on its target audience (e.g., 引用率, hit rates or links to material for electronic media; public reviews of the work; breadth of distribution of the work; etc.).    对于最近的研究, 哪些方面的影响可能尚未完全实现, nominees should provide information on the likely impact and significance of the work in the future; d) the nature and scope of the impact (or likely impact); e) the extent to which the scholarship reflects depth of understanding of the topic area within the nominee’s discipline; f) the scope and breadth of the work; and g) the nature of the nominee’s contribution to the scholarly product(s).
